Japan wins women's soccer gold at Asian Games

GUANGZHOU - Japan claimed their first gold medal in women's soccer at the Asian Games by nipping defending champions Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Monday.

The Japanese hit the winner in the 74th minute through Azusa Iwashimizu, who headed home a Aya Miyama corner.

In last Games, DPRK beat Japan on penalties for the gold.
