Woods finishes worst 19th at Memorial, wins fans' hearts
Tiger Woods of the U.S. reacts to his approach shot at the ninth hole during the first round of the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio June 3, 2010.
WASHINGTON, June 6 -- Tiger Woods was running low on gloves on Sunday at the Memorial Tournament as he tried to make up to fans hit by a ball by giving them an autographed golf glove.
Woods hit fans at the first, second and 15th holes while the defending champion ended up shooting an even-par 72 to finish at 6 under and tied for the 19th position.
It has been the worst finish for Woods since 2002 at the Memorial.
Justin Rose won the tournament at 12 shots under par.
